About RAGRUG
RAGRUG is the name of my 1990 Volvo 240DL station wagon. These vehicles are known to be driven by hipsters, scenesters, artists, teenagers, DIYers, and women over 35 (hi!). However, due to their increasing age, 240s are less likely to be driven by frugal individuals and more likely to be driven by people who have trouble letting go (hi!).
I originally bought this car through Craigslist in 2008 from a nice family north of Philly. It was 18 years old then and already looking long in the tooth. I've tried to keep up with it mechanically and cosmetically, but now, in 2026 it needs some much needed restoration. I am currently saving up for rust repair and a new paint job. Who knows when that will happen. It's something I've wanted to do for a very long time, but it keeps getting pushed down the list.
I will post photos and more history of the car soon. I'll probably start by making a post about why it's called RAGRUG in the first place.
